Not only was David genuinely nice, he was also full of knowledge, extremely patient and someone we instantly connected with. We were moving to London so we were looking for someone that was responsive to all our e-mails but could also put us at ease. David helped us by suggesting a list of vendors and we trusted David's suggestions and that was how we found our amazing florist!
David was so professional and became a friend to us, so we flew back and had one last meeting before the wedding, we knew he had everything covered on the day so it was one last thing off our plate. We had David for both our tea ceremony and wedding day across 2 days and both days he was punctual and instantly took charge once I showed him where all the accessories/dress etc were and he went off to work his magic.
On our wedding day, David and his team worked hard through the rain and always made sure Alan and I were comfortable and worry free. His artistic eye allowed him to scout opportunities even when he was meant to be taking a break, and that was how our favourite photo came about (he saw mist and instantly knew we had to pause our mains to seize the opportunity!).

It’s important to also get along with your photographer as they will be there every minute of the most important day of your life! We met up with David and immediately it was clear that he would be the ideal person to capture our big day. He was warm and approachable, he listened attentively to what we were looking for, and we built rapport immediately. He also gave us some extra tips and pointers for our wedding and we ended up going with his suggested florist who was also superb!
On the day itself, David and his team created a fun and relaxed atmosphere and made everyone (including the bridal party, family) feel very comfortable. It was a lot of fun to shoot the photos and that made for better photos. They were also very professional and led us through every step; little details like telling us where to angle our bodies or put our hands can make all the difference to the final photo.
Most impressively though, they also managed to perfectly capture those special moments when no one’s looking at the camera: moments of quiet reflection as well spontaneous bouts of laughter. These are the photos where you can really relive the feeling of the day.

We had a bit of a meltdown on the day as we had left my wedding veil at home, only realising it was missing 2 hours before the ceremony. Wow! It’s impossible to find the words to describe just how amazing David is. Choosing a photographer was probably the most difficult task, considering that we’re photographers ourselves. Although there are many in the market, we didn’t connect with their work as much as we did with David’s.
Our engagement shoot was executed perfectly, and the images looked beautiful. David made the whole process so fun and relaxing, and it didn’t even feel like a shoot but rather a day out hanging with a friend. It got us so excited to see the amazing images he would produce for us on our big day.

Ladies (and gentlemen) do not hesitate on booking these amazing photographers! I first heard of We Are Origami from a friend who wanted to book them for her own wedding. I instantly fell in love with their style of photography and knew I had to book them- 2 years in advance as I didn't want to miss out.
Even though I had to plan the wedding from overseas, I felt comfortable with booking with them as the communication was always excellent. David was always patient and understanding leading up to the wedding day as I had an endless amount of questions to which he always provided great advice.
