Photography is an investment.

It’s something that will last the distance long after the big day has passed. This means that you get to showcase the big moments – the vows, the kiss, the first dance… but also to capture those inbetween moments – the simple but special signature seconds that add emotion to an event: the scent on your skin, that glance at your father before you walk down the aisle, the silk ribbon entwined around the bouquet – you aren’t investing in just the imagery but for me to capture every moment, to know not just what matters today but what will matter in years to come.

All collections include my knowledge, experience and advice as well as directing the day, curating and creating stories and editing the elegance with my expert eye for soft natural light. You also receive two photographers every time, with me at the helm, so that we can capture the action from every angle. You’ll receive a custom-designed online gallery and all images in high and low resolution on USB, plus a super exciting sneak peek a few days after the wedding. I can also create the most divine Italian leather, elegant linen or Japanese Asahi silk albums for those oh-so-tangible truly madly beautiful moments, to celebrate your marriage in style.

I capture images for weddings all around the world, whether an intimate elopement or a grander affair, a local festivity or a destination celebration, you can expect the same level of exquisite imagery and personal service every time.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How many photographers will be at our wedding?

About 95% of the wedding I photograph, I always have a second photographer with me. When I say you get a second photographer, I mean another professional photographer, not an assistant. This is to ensure that I can provide consistent quality coverage in two places at once and/or when the guest list is 50+.

Do you shoot with digital or film?

I shoot with both! While digital is great for capturing on-the-fly moments and incredible night photography, film is in a class of its own when it comes to crafting fine art pieces. Film brings a soft, elegant and timeless feel with beautiful gentle tones, which my work is distinctly known for – this is my signature style. I appreciate both forms of photography, however what’s most important and compelling to me is being able to capture beautiful images with my cameras in such a way that requires little post-processing.

How many images do we get?

I aim to give you as many good photos as possible as I know how special these moments are to you. At the same time I also don’t believe that ‘more’ automatically means ‘better’. On average, you can expect 800 images for a 10-hour wedding day and 1000 images for a 12-hour wedding day. This works out to be about 100 images per hour of shooting time.

Do you edit all the photos you provide us?

Absolutely! All the photos supplied to you will be beautifully colour-managed and edited to produce the best result. This is why there is a turnaround time of up to 6 weeks to see your wedding photos. Turnaround for engagement and lifestyle sessions is up to 4 weeks. The edited photos are included in all my collections and all images will be provided to you in both high and low resolution.

Can I see a full gallery of your work?

YES! What I show on my social media and website isn’t always a good representation of an entire wedding day. I’d love nothing more for you to look through a few full galleries that I’ve delivered to clients recently. Just let me know when you get in touch and I’ll provide you with a couple links so you have a good idea of what your photographs will look like from an entire wedding day. I think this is incredibly important!

Do you design our albums?

Yes, I sure do! Once the photos are ready for you, I will ask you to select a handful of your favourite photos and will provide you with a draft pre-design of your album. I have a talented album design team that will work closely with me to design and select additional photos to complement your favourite selections. This will then be presented to you for viewing online. I will subsequently work together with you for ideas and suggestions on any changes you may like to make. You will have full control and can add or remove whichever images you want. I will allow a maximum of 5 full revisions. Following that, please note that hourly rates may begin to apply for each additional revision made.

When will we receive our album?

I expect the album to be in your hands within 4 weeks of finalising the album design.

Can I purchase prints, framed pieces and canvases from you?

Absolutely! I offer full service professional photo lab quality products in a variety of sizes that can be purchased as add-ons after your engagement/portraiture session and wedding day. Just ask me to find out what’s on offer!

How many weddings do you take on each year?

As I’m a boutique photography studio rather than a commercial one, I only take on a limited amount of wedding commissions each year. This number is currently sitting at 20. This ensures every single one of my couple receives my very best service, as well as allowing myself time to continually learn and grow, creating unique, beautiful and timeless images for each couple I have the privilege of working with.

Do you travel outside of Sydney for Weddings?

Of course! I’m available to travel anywhere around Australia.

Are you available for International travel?

Yes, I most certainly am. Travelling is an important part of my work as seeing and experiencing other foreign places is a major source of inspiration for me. A dream of mine is to photography more destination weddings! Hence, if you are located overseas or looking to have your wedding abroad, all you need to do is get in touch and let me know where you planned to have your wedding and we can work all the details out from there.

Do we need to provide meals for you and your second shooter on our wedding day?

Yes please. From the time we start, we dedicate ourselves to provide you the best service possible, running around unobtrusively to capture the story of your day unfold in its entirety. Hence, for every wedding, I ask that 2 crew meals be prepared for us during your reception dinner to keep us running on full energy for the rest of the night. I promise that this little kindness to show your appreciation for our hard work will go a very long way.

What happens if you are sick?

In the unlikely instance that I’m unavailable to work on your wedding day due to severe injury or sickness, my principal associate shooter will be able to take over and a second photographer from my team will be arranged. I hold high respect for your special day and will inform you at our earliest to enable you as much time as possible to weigh out your options. If you are unhappy with my arrangement, I will refund your deposit and allow you to use another photographer.

Are you insured?

I sure am! I have full public liability insurance and can provide you with a certificate if required.

Will our photos be displayed on your website or blog?

I try my best to update my website, social media platforms and blog wherever possible, however it is usually up to my discretion as to whether or not a particular image from an engagement session or wedding will be published. Should you have any concerns about this, please let me know and I am happy to explain or discuss this further with you.

Can we arrange an appointment with you before securing our booking?

Of course! I usually insist you book an initial appointment with me face-to-face or via skype before securing your booking. I’m available most weekdays and weeknights. My client meetings are held at Breakfast Point unless a mutually convenient location is agreed upon.

17.

How do we confirm our booking with you?

Easy! In order to book and secure your wedding date with me, a signed contract and a 30% non-refundable deposit is required, as well as any travel fees which may apply. The remaining balance is due 30 days prior to your wedding day. I cannot hold any dates without a signed contract and deposit. Of course, you are also welcome to pay the total balance upfront.

18.

Do you accept credit cards?

I accept credit cards through PayPal. As I’m a small business, I do charge a 3% surcharge for all credit card payments. There are no fees for direct deposit.
